Like all content management systems, WordPress separates a website into 2 parts, the design and the content. Non technical users can enter and modify content without getting anywhere near the design of the site and therefore can't accidentally change (or break) important structural code.
A redesign for an existing site set up in a very confusing, multi site way. Next phases of this project will include removing old content, adding 301 redirects and getting rid of the unnecessary multi site settings.
The Toronto Waterfront Business Improvement Area needed a new site to showcase local businesses and help visitors get around.
A blog for Dr. Michael Geist, a law professor at the University of Ottawa. His original site was Joomla and 1000's of posts and comments had to be imported.
